Unknown Cosmos

The beloved person as an infinite universe.

I walk upon the earth,
Yet I dream beyond the stars.
My soul is high above,
Though the wind still holds my heart.

The restless waves at sea
Speak to me in quiet lines.
I know I'm not alone...
You're searching just like I.

With half-closed eyes we stand,
Watching all the world unfold.
Once again we give our love,
Once again we shine our souls.

Burning... we still shine.
Meeting... we forgive.
Holding one another close,
Joy is where we live.

Once again the road
Turns our lives to poetry.
All the love we carry
Flows like endless streams.

Oh stars... stars... stars...
I search for you each night.
Oh time... time... time...
I wish that you would stop.

Hey wind... wind... wind...
Give me wings at dawn.
To the sun... the sun... the sun...
I long to fly so close.

Oh sea... sea... sea...
You never calm my soul.
Oh rain... rain... rain...
I've waited far too long.

And sky... sky... sky...
Will hide the answers once again.
And mountains... mountains... mountains...
Will call my name once more.

I'll sit upon the ground,
Looking up into the stars.
Searching quietly for truth,
While my mind is free to roam.

When I listen to the wind,
When I touch the endless sea,
I remember once again...
You're my unexplored universe.

I'll walk this road with you,
Knowing more with every mile.
While our hearts keep beating as one,
Our light will never die.
