Distortions - Connection

Even what is distorted can connect.

We build our meaning
From forms torn apart,
Where logic's a stranger,
And chaos is heart.

You look at the world
Through the cracks in each phrase,
Where truth isn't light —
It's a shifting of phase.

We were like a “yes”
That came sounding like “no,”
Like dreams running negative,
While nonsense would grow.

Toxicity's not poison —
It's comfort we choose,
Where wounds are not healing,
We just learn how to live with the bruise.

The distortions within us
Are connections, not flaws,
They keep us together
Without making us lost.

When we're breaking to pieces,
When the lie starts to rise,
We're saved by distortions
Of a soul made of darkness and light.

You're beside me, but outside,
I'm within, but not here.
We're trying to gather
The word “being” from air.

Being strange is our armor
Against normality's ways,
Where refusing to fit in
Is the strength that remains.

We gamble what matters,
What can't be restored,
We keep falling upward
While we're sinking once more.

And if it seems senseless,
It's an answer ahead:
We're outside the algorithms,
Closer to something that's real instead.

The distortions within us
Are connections, not flaws,
They keep us together
Without making us lost.

When we're breaking to pieces,
When the lie starts to rise,
We're saved by distortions
Of a soul made of darkness and light.
