Words
Repeated words become algorithms of thought.
We think in words, in words we make things clear, Confess our love, entrust each other fear. Some words are warm, like sunlight on the skin, Some cold as blood where ancient wounds begin. Some drift as lightly as the morning haze, Some weigh more than the scars of older days. From words we shape our meanings and our dreams, Replaying them within a hundred times, it seems. And deep inside, where all your rhythms grow, Each thought becomes an algorithm's flow. Ideas returning, circling through the mind, Weave love and feeling into threads that bind. Our minds, unnoticed, day by passing day, Keep laying down another hidden way. And what we think is just a passing thought Becomes the road our very souls will walk. We say the words again, and while repeating, Build paths between the people that we meet. And without knowing, repetition leads us Toward the same ideas where pathways meet. We feed the mind with words of every kind, It builds connections without asking why. And what we keep repeating day by day Will engineer the patterns of our lives. But where's the first cause hidden from our view That shapes which words we want to hear and know? It can't be only chance that somehow leads us To love the very sound of words of love. And someday you will read between the lines: Not every thought was born inside your mind. We carry other voices in our memory, Once heard, then slowly taken as our own. Another's answers turn into our fate, Another's patterns draw the roads we take. And if somewhere a hidden error lives, It's not within our feelings — but the algorithms. Each word and phrase can have a different taste, And everyone has favorites on their plate. The conscious mind prepares a menu too, And we obediently search for what it serves to you. Words are the food that keeps our minds alive; Without them, thoughts grow faint and slowly die. The pity is that sometimes what we choose Is not the sweet — but bitter, sour food. We repeat words, barely understanding How algorithms learn from what we say. And maybe, after saying one for long enough, We'll find the word repeating us one day.
